using wav files with audiotoucher 3

why do i get an error message when i try to open a wav file with audiotoucher 3 I can open MP3 and WMA fine. Error reads "No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection. Error code 80040217 at OpenFile. Anyone?

Your Wav file may be compressed, but you not have system decoder for this kind of file.
